On January 27, 2025, as part of the XXXIII Christmas Readings in Moscow, the first session of the conference section entitled “Memory and the Spiritual Experience of Generations: The Pastoral Aspect” took place at the “Tabor” Cultural Center, located at Myasnitskaya Street 24/7 с2.
The conference was chaired by Bishop Methodius of Yegoryevsk, Vicar to the Patriarch of Moscow and all Rus’, and organized by the Orthodox St. Tikhon’s Humanitarian University, the “Tabor” Cultural Center, and the “Pastyr” portal.
In the program of the session held at the NPO “Center for Social Initiatives ‘Tabor’”, the following presentations were made:
— Archpriest Feodor Borodin, rector of the Church of the Holy Unmercenaries Cosmas and Damian on Maroseyka, presenting “The Spiritual Life of a Priest’s Family”;
— Priest Pavel Ermilov, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Systematic Theology and Patrology, Head of the Laboratory for Church Institution Studies at PSTGU, presenting “The Notion of ‘Spiritually-Graceful Bonds’ in the Works of the Holy Martyr Damaskin (Zedrik)”;
— Vyacheslav Alexandrovich Yachmenik, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Systematic Theology and Patrology, Junior Research Fellow at the Laboratory for Church Institution Studies at PSTGU, presenting “The Concept of the Monastery in the World”.
The International Christmas Educational Readings are a church–society forum in the fields of education, culture, social service, and spiritual and moral enlightenment. Held in Moscow at the beginning of the year under the honorary chairmanship of the Patriarch of Moscow and all Rus’, the event gathers over five thousand participants. The organizer is the Department for Religious Education and Catechization of the Russian Orthodox Church.
