On June 8—on the Feast of the Holy Trinity—the participants of the Spiritual Development School were baptized at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
The Spiritual Development School is a three-month program designed for those taking their first steps in church life. During the course, participants regularly attend lectures, engage in conversation with clergy, go on pilgrimages, learn how to pray, deepen their understanding of doctrine, and practice living according to the commandments. Some participants enter the program not yet baptized, and during their studies they come to a conscious desire to become members of the Church.
The baptisms were performed by the priest-instructors of the program, in the presence of fellow students, in a warm and prayerful atmosphere.
We congratulate those baptized on this moving, joyful, and touching event—welcoming them into the Church of Christ.
