Launching the School of Social Service at "Tabor"!
The Synodal Department for Church Charity and the Cultural Center “Tabor” are launching a joint series of meetings — the School of Social Service.
How does church aid work in practice? Who stands behind the largest acts of mercy? What role does an ordinary person have in all this if they want to help?
These meetings are an opportunity to understand how the Church’s social work is organized, hear stories from real projects, and learn how to get involved in helping right now.
Each meeting features a conversation between the chairman of the Synodal Department, Archpriest Mikhail Potokin, and the leaders of the largest church charitable initiatives.
Archpriest Mikhail Potokin is the person responsible for all church social service in Russia.
He heads the Synodal Department for Charity, coordinates assistance to those affected in hotspots, and develops and oversees support programs for thousands of people across the country. His voice is one of the key ones in the Church today when it comes to deeds of mercy.
These will be deep and honest meetings about real needs and concrete actions, about challenges, living people, and most importantly, about the opportunity for everyone to find their place in this shared mission.
The first meeting will take place on August 22 at 19:00 at "Tabor" — join us!
